How to buy with JDM King Imports?
Many of our first-time customers assume that purchasing an import from us will be more challenging than buying a domestic car. It’s not! We’re a licensed used car dealership, and the process is just like buying a used Honda from your local dealer.
The first step is to read the detailed vehicle listing to get familiar with the vehicle’s condition. Each listing is unique, providing insights into what you’re purchasing and highlighting the vehicle’s condition. We put our heart and soul into these vehicles and want you to feel confident in your purchase!
We encourage test drives before purchase and can arrange door-to-door transportation if you can’t make the trip. We offer flexible appointment times and can pick you up from the airport or train station. You’ll also have the opportunity to inspect the vehicle’s underside on our four-post lift. Our deposit process is fully refundable until you sign the title, and our top priority is ensuring your new RHD import is a great fit for you!
Buyers can purchase a vehicle in full (Cash) or utilize financing solutions offered by our network of preferred outside lenders. We accept cash, cashier’s checks, or bank wire transfers for payments. No personal checks, e-checks, or card payments are accepted at this time.
Most banks will not finance these vehicles as they lack a standard 17-digit VIN and a book value. Customers are able to obtain personal loans from their financial institution and treat it as a cash transaction here. However, we highly recommend going through our trusted finance partner, Lightstream, as they can usually approve and fund faster than other banks.
We charge a flat $375 processing fee on every sale, and the buyer is responsible for paying any applicable sales tax in their state of registration.
If you can’t pick up your vehicle at our dealership, we can arrange shipping directly to your door and are happy to provide an accurate shipping quote at any time.
For vehicles being picked up at our dealership, we can provide 30-day temporary tags for your drive home.
We fully understand that not all of our customers can visit our facility to see the vehicle in person. In fact, 40% of our vehicles are shipped sight unseen. We are committed to providing an accurate representation of each vehicle before accepting any deposit or payment.
To ensure transparency, we’ll conduct a thorough walk-around over the phone, pointing out any issues or flaws, just as if we were purchasing the vehicle for ourselves. We’ll critically assess the exterior, interior, and mechanical systems, giving you a complete understanding of the vehicle’s condition.
